Three WWE NXT wrestlers quietly released this week

Three NXT wrestlers were quietly released by WWE this week. There was no announcement on WWE.com but Dave Meltzer reported the names in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Tian Bing (real name Wang Bing) was signed in 2016 and there was hype around his signing on WWE’s website and on their social media accounts because they felt that he could be a true star in China. Things didn’t work out for some reason and he was released.

The company also Jason Cheng and Gabriel Ealy. Ealy’s twin brother Uriel was released several months ago.

The wrestlers listed above didn’t really get much TV time so most of you would not know them but it’s somewhat surprising that Bing was released considering that WWE has plans to do an international territory expansion and Bing was someone they were hoping would turn into a big deal for them.
