The Shield kicked off this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw to give a farewell address to the WWE fans. WWE has been acknowledging Dean Ambrose’s impending departure from the company in recent weeks as his contract is set to expire in late April.
Reigns kicked off the show by saying if last night at Fastlane was the last time together as The Shield then he has no regrets and the road to WrestleMania has begun and they all have things they need to take care of as singles wrestlers.
The main event was supposed to be Reigns taking on Baron Corbin but Reigns was brutally attacked by Drew McIntyre so the match never got started. Backstage, Dean Ambrose demanded a match with McIntyre and Triple H granted his wish and it would be a Falls Count Anywhere match.
McIntyre won the match after hitting the claymore kick while Ambrose’s head was caught in a railing by the stage area near the announcers. Ambrose tried to get up but McIntyre hit another claymore as they went off the air.
Last week, there was talk of Ambrose vs. Reigns at WrestleMania but now it looks like Vince McMahon has decided on Reigns vs. McIntyre. That is how it came across this week on Raw.
